Lately, NCSoft USA has announced the shutdown of their exteel servers on September 1, 2010. A lot of players within the US & other countries were saddened by the announcement. I do not know why exteel is being abandoned since there were a lot of players.
All the efforts of leveling their exteel characters, the time & money invested were wasted. Hoping exteel will come back to life again...

Exteel is a free online multiplayer game from NCSoft. It is indeed a different game in which you control your own mecanaught and engage in wargames to different opponent.
iAm Interactive, from Philippines, host the game in Southeast Asia (SEA) but unfortunately, last January 2010, iAm Interactive closed its operation and terminated the Exteel SEA. No migration of Exteel accounts has been done by iAm Interactive.
Pinoy Exteel SEA gamers and other gamers from Singapore and Malaysia has transferred to Exteel US (United States) but unfortunately, due to the distance from the server location, Southeast Asian Exteel gamers got high ping and lagging game. But still, even with the given problem, they still continue playing Exteel.
Hoping in the near future, big online game publisher in the Philippines will host Exteel so that Southeast Asian gamers will have a better gaming experience.

Overview:
Zombies are invading your hometown and the only way to stop them is using your supply of undead-killing plants. The game has a resource mechanic in the form of sunshine that needs to be collected and spent on placing new plants and improvements. It works like a multi-column, tower defense game.
